QR access and client sign-up
You do not have to create anyone's account by hand. Every group and every event generates a QR code and a link: whoever scans it registers themselves and lands straight in the right gallery.
What it does
Each group carries its own registration code, and each event another. From that code come a link and a QR you can print, project or send over WhatsApp.
Whoever uses it fills in a short form —name, email and password— and is automatically assigned to the group, or to every group in the event. You never type an email address, and the dashboard shows you who has signed up.
If you would rather keep control, you can also create users one by one from the dashboard and assign them to whichever groups you want. Both ways work side by side.
How it works, step by step
You open the group's access page
The group record has its QR and its link, ready to download or copy. The QR is generated in your own browser; no external service makes it.
You hand it out
Printed on the reception table, in a school newsletter, pinned to the club noticeboard or sent as a message. Whatever suits you.
The client registers
A short form with email verification. When they finish they are already inside their gallery, with nobody having to send them credentials.
On composites, if they are a minor, the guardian is notified
Composite sign-up asks for the date of birth. If they are under fourteen, an email goes to the guardian with a confirmation link and the account waits until it is clicked.
You close access
When the window ends you disable the group and the code stops accepting new sign-ups. Those already in keep seeing their photos if you decide so.
Details worth knowing
One QR per group and one per event
The group code puts the person in a single gallery; the event code, in all the galleries of the job. Whichever you want to hand out.
Manual sign-up too
You can create the user yourself, assign them to several groups and block them whenever you want, without going through public registration.
Email verification
Sign-up sends a verification email, so access is tied to a real address and can be recovered if the client forgets their password.
No shared passwords
Everyone has their own access. There is no single password doing the rounds of the family group chat.
Who it is for
This is the module that saves the most time on jobs with many recipients: schools, clubs, fun runs, weddings with a long list. Instead of collecting a hundred email addresses, you print one code.
Frequently asked questions
The code grants access to one specific gallery, so the risk is limited to that group. Once the sign-up window closes you disable the group and the code stops working.
Yes: the group record lists all its users with their sign-up date, and from there you can block anyone.
The law requires the consent of whoever holds parental responsibility. FotoHook requests it automatically by email and does not let the minor upload their photograph until the guardian confirms.
